Freda Yahan Duplan

Board Chair of Zenith Bank Ghana

Freda Yahan Duplan upon completing successfully her six-year tenure as Board Chair of Zenith Bank Ghana continues on the board as an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) and currently serves as the Board Chair of Fan Milk Ghana. She is also an independent Board Member of ZEN Petroleum. She is a highly accomplished business leader with almost 3 decades of experience in the Nestle Group in leadership positions across multiple functions such as IT, Sales, Supply Chain, Project Management, General Business Management and Shared Services with relocation to South Africa, Guinea, Philippines and Pakistan. Freda joined Nestle as IT Manager and progressed to being the 1st female National Sales Manager (Ghana), 1st female Head of Nestle Business Shared Services (Ghana & Philippines), 1st African female CEO to be appointed as MD/CEO (Ghana & Pakistan).
With a background in Computer Science, Freda has a diverse skill set in strategic planning and management, change management, people development and management, sales and customer management, and high-level negotiations. She has attended several leadership and executive management courses at renowned institutions worldwide, including the London School of Business.
Before joining the Nestle Group, Freda worked as an IT Systems Analyst in numerous organizations in the UK, USA and as an IT Consultant in Ghana. As a corporate leader, Freda has successfully led and transformed organizations and teams through change management as her area of expertise and domain of passion.
Her leadership style has always been to inspire young talent to dream big, act boldly and be decisive. She has been a front-runner in support of women talent and this was the driving force for her choice to be one of the six founding members of the Executive Women Network (EWN).
Freda Yahan Duplan is ranked in Avance Media’s Inaugural list of Top 100 Ghana’s Women Board Directors.
